Top 10 largest yachts in the world

CachHayNhat - The word "yacht" comes from an old German word (Deutsche) meaning "chasing ship". The word describes fast sailing ships that were first used by pirates, then by those who wanted to capture pirates. Owning one of these ships became fashionable among wealthy shipbuilders in 14th-century Holland. It eventually spread to England when Charles II began sailing for sport and pleasure.

Yore's sailboats were replaced by motorized versions that functioned as party boats for the wealthy. There is no better signal to the world that you have a fortune than owning a giant yacht. The richer, the more massive.

Azzam is the largest private yacht in the world. At a cost of $605 million, it is available to rent as Eclipse. However, observers say that turning the ship into a commercial vessel is just an act of tax evasion.

One alleged reason to avoid taxes is that Sheik, the President of the UAE, is very private and does not want others to use his ship. His desire for privacy led to little is known about the ship's interior. We know that the ship can reach speeds of 32 knots, has submarines and missile defense systems.

When Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich received the Eclipse from the construction company in 2010, it was the largest yacht in the world. For a year, Abramovich used it privately until offering to lease the vessel in 2011. That could offset the cost of the ship, estimated at $500 million.

The ship has 24 guest cabins, an internal swimming pool and hot tub, disco, gym, spa and comes with a functional submarine.
